✒️ :. Isra Rashid

O my Lord, You created all that is,
You hold it all, in Your power it lives.
None was, none is, none will be but You,
All praise, all glory, belongs only to You.
You are the Owner, of everything indeed,
Billions of galaxies, no one can count or read.

And I? I have nothing but shame to bring,
When nothing was, You were the King of King,
When nothing will remain, You will still be,
Great are You, Your Mercy is endless sea.

I am just a spark, for a moment or two,
A lonely traveler, with nothing, it’s true.
Like the pale moon, I wax and wane alone,
No rest, no peace, no comfort I have known.
I kept on running, searching for my love,
My love is careless, heart of stone, cold thereof.

Chasing shadows is my madness, my plea,
Cold winds of dreams, they cut right through me.
So weak am I, like ice beneath my feet,
I fall, I break my legs, yet rise on repeat.

They told me, “Hold your hope, don’t lose your heart,”
But dreams aren’t true, don’t trust them from the start.
O my Master, my Lord never left me alone,
I wonder why He loves me, still calls me His own.

So worthless, so poor, it’s only me,
So trash, so foul, as foul as I can be.
And still my Lord, with love so tenderly,
He calls to me, He says, Come back to Me.
