The initiative also aimed to strengthen the sporting environment across Jammu & Kashmir and contribute towards the realisation of the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor’s vision of “Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir” (Drug-Free Jammu & Kashmir), while supporting the vision of our Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, to advance the national mission of “Nasha Mukt Bharat” (Drug-Free India). Through this programme, the Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to following the path of awareness, youth engagement, and community participation to help build a safer and brighter future for the younger generation.

The tournament was organised under the leadership of Mr. Anush Shanaz Khan, Chairman, Rise Up Youth Foundation, with the support and guidance of Mr. Danish Shafi, Vice Chairman, and Mr. Mohammad Akram Khan, General Secretary, along with the Foundation’s board members and dedicated volunteers.

The event was graced by the presence of DSP Headquarters baramulla Mr. Shahjahan saab Major Mandeep Sahib of 46 Rashtriya Rifles (46 RR); and officers from Police Station Sheeri, whose presence and encouragement added significance to the programme. Their participation highlighted the importance of collective efforts by civil society organisations, security forces, and the local community in guiding young people towards positive and meaningful activities.

The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from young players and teams, fostering a spirit of sportsmanship, unity, mutual respect, and healthy competition. Beyond the sporting contest, the event served as a platform to spread awareness about the importance of making responsible choices and building a society where young people can pursue their ambitions through sports, education, and other constructive opportunities.

Speaking on the occasion, the Foundation reiterated that the Irada-e-Rahat programme is part of its continued commitment to youth empowerment, drug-abuse prevention, and community development. The Foundation believes that sustained public awareness, active youth participation, and the promotion of sports can make a meaningful contribution towards the vision of “Nasha Mukt Bharat” and the goal of a drug-free Jammu & Kashmir.

Rise Up Youth Foundation expressed its gratitude to all the dignitaries, participating teams, volunteers, supporting officials, and local residents for their cooperation and encouragement in making the event successful. The Foundation further reaffirmed its determination to continue organising initiatives that inspire the youth, promote sports, and strengthen the collective resolve to support the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of a Nasha Mukt Bharat, while building a drug-free, peaceful, and progressive Jammu & Kashmir.
